We encourage parents to call and come into the nursery as often as possible. So they can speak to staff throughout the day getting peace of mind on how their child/children are.
Even though our parents can call, they are given a record of how their child has been throughout the day, and are spoken to at the end of the day on a daily basis passing on information about the childs day personally. This helps us provide the continuity of care and working in partnership with parents which is extremely important to us as a team.

Best Friends Childcare Centre’s future aim is to be interactive with parents and involve them with the day’s activities by providing you with a “virtual childcare centre”, internet service and e-mail interaction. This will be managed and protected by encrypted codes for individual parents and centre management. This will enable you to view the activities throughout the day and have e-mail communication showing your child/children at work and at play and had a fun-filled day.

We will be launching this service when the new extension opens.
You will need to register with NURSERY CAM all your details to gain passwords and confidentiality for this service, and this will allow you access to the nursery to see your child/children have fun and enjoyment throughout the day.
I will pass all details over to you in the New Year about how to go through this and set up your confidential file. You will be allocated certain times each throughout the day - a maximum of five minutes at a time, and up to 20 minutes maximum total per day; you will automatically be logged off after this time. You (and your family) will be allowed to log in only at your allocated times and on the days your child is at the nursery, to ensure total security for all children.
If you have family overseas and would like them to watch your child play at nursery, you will need to inform myself and Hilda for us to do the necessary checks and to allocate them specific times for logging on, taking into account time differences around the world!! I will try my best to allocate times to suit everyone but as you may gather I may make a few mistakes at the beginning with all the parents and additional family who would like to view. Please be patient with me for a few weeks!!!!

For Parents peace of mind that their child/children are safe at all times we have a security buzzer door entry system and all visitors sign both in and out when visiting the nursery.
