Latest News

Hilda is now offering Private Spanish classes to the children at Best Friends’ Childcare Centre. Hilda will be doing this additional service on Saturday mornings at the nursery. Please speak to Hilda regarding fees and times for which age group your child falls into and availability.
I am sure you are all aware of how much the children enjoy speaking Spanish so why not take it a step further with Hilda at the weekends!!!

We have decided, due to increasing demand, to enlist the services of a Homoeopath in the nursery.Our homoeopath of choice is Greg Farrow (Ella and Grace’s dad), who will be taking appointments in the evenings and possibly Saturday mornings, depending on demand. Please let me know your views (are you interested?) and which evening/s (or Saturday?) would suit you best.

Best Friends Future Developments

Best Friends Childcare Centre’s future aim (late 2009) is to be interactive with parents and involve them with the day’s activities by providing you with a “virtual childcare centre”, internet service and e-mail interaction. This will be managed and protected by encrypted codes for individual parents and centre management. This will enable you to view allotted activities throughout the day and have e-mail communication showing your child/children at work and at play.

I am pleased to tell you I have now received and been granted Planning Permission for the new extension. Building work should be starting shortly. We are just waiting for the final agreements from the village club before any work can be carried out.

2007/8 Expand the London Colney Site - Obtain more land to develop the centre for additional places for the local children during late 2007/8

We would like to bring to your attention, for those who are not aware, that we are planning to extend the nursery. Our plans are to go out from the edge of the older bay towards the flower bed. This will mean that we will have 2 areas - one for the under 2’s and one for the over 2’s.

Mid 2007 Launch Best Friends Soft Play - This centre will be available to children during the evening and weekends and upon arrangement for parties etc.
