Maths is Magic Month April and May 2010

Thank you for all your donations in guessing the teddies favourite number, how many sweets are in the jar and the weight of the fruit. All money that is being raised will be going to banardo’s for the children with no speech

Children in Need - 20th November

We will be dressing up in spots like our Best Friends Childcare Clown and making cakes to sell for Children in Need.

Breast Cancer - 22nd 23rd October

Lots of staff and children wore pink and sold cakes to raise money for Breast Cancer. We managed to raise £66.38.

Sunny Days - September

Sunny Days Children's Fund is a registered charity which raises funds to help children under the age of 18 years with a wide range of adverse medical conditions including Leukaemia, Cerebral Palsy, the Deaf and Blind, Terminal Illnesses, and all other life hindering conditions. We raised £45.00 for this great charity.

Toddle Waddle - July

I would like to take this opportunity in congratulating the children on there wonderful Toddle Waddle events. The children and staff had a wonderful time in doing this. I would like to thank all the parents on their involvements and help in raising the money. We have currently raised £278.69 and are still receiving money from parents every day. Well done everybody this is fantastic!!

Lorraine completed her freefall jump and raised a fantastic £600.

12,000 ft freefall at Brackfield Airfield on 16th September

On the 16th September Lorraine will be doing a 12,000 ft freefall at Brackfield Airfield near Oxford.

We will be going down to see her fall within style and if you would like to join us on this occasion we would love to see you all there!!!

Lorraine will be raising money for the Hospice for Children Living with Cancer as well as Macmillan Nurses.

If you would like to sponsor her for this occasion please do. There is a sponsor form in the nursery foyer so add your name and the amount for such a worthy course.

Sponsored Walk on 15th July to raise money for Breast Cancer.

A group of Best Friends Childcare Centre staff and children set off on a small 8 mile walk in aid of Cancer Research.

We started off at Verulamiun Park in St Albans, walking around the Manor Farm and Estate before taking the long road back to Verulamiun Park.

It was a lovely day and a chance for all staff and parents to have a chat.

We raised £100 for this occasion.
