   Terms

1. All payments must be made by Standing Order and these will be payable in advance on the 1st of every month. Your monthly charge is calculated by taking your weekly fee, multiplying it by 52 weeks then dividing it into twelve monthly equal payments.

2. If there are any issues with making your due payment in advance on the 1st day of each month these must be raised in the first instance with the Director or Nursery Manager. If payments are received late the management reserve the right to impose penalty charges which are detailed below.

  a) Paying by cheque instead of Standing Order              + £3.50 per cheque
  b) Without prior Directors agreement of 30 days.
    bi) Payment received 1 – 6 working days late                 £30 penalty
    bii) Payment received 7 -14 days late                           £60 penalty
    biii) Best Friends Childcare Centre reserves the right to offer your placement sessions           to others, or give notice (full termination) of your placement imposing a £150           penalty.
  c) “Bounced cheque”                                                   £35.00 penalty
  d) Cancellation of extra session without 24hrs notice         £10.00 penalty.

3. Any extra hours over and above a morning or afternoon session will be charged at the full day rate. If any extra sessions are required, they must be agreed in advance with the Director/Nursery Manager. Charges for extra sessions will be invoiced separately and payment must be made within 7 days of the date of invoice.

4. Once your child/children’s place/s has been confirmed and a start date agreed you will be asked to place a deposit of £150, which will be deducted from your last month’s charges.

5. Refunds will not be given for public bank holidays, absence due to illness, annual holidays or any closure of the nursery throughout the year brought about due to circumstances beyond our control throughout the year will be charged at the normal rates  .

6. All personal items must be clearly labelled with your child’s name.

7. Children wearing nappies with whom are prone to allergic reactions must provide their own cotton wool, Creams, wipes, nappies min 5 per full day

8. Under 2’s children will have branded items provided from May 1st 2008 (nappies, wipes, creams)

9. Over 2’s must provide their own cotton wool, Creams, wipes, nappies min 5 per full day. These items may be provided (nappies, wipes, creams) at a min £3 standard charge per day, £40 standard charge per month with 7 days prior notice).

10. Formula milk is not included. You will need to provide this if your child is on this. Cow/soya and Goats milk will be provided for your children.

11. In the event of you not being able to collect your child/children at the required time, notification is required in advance (min 1 hour) by telephone. A lateness fee will be charged.
£5 for first 15 minutes late (per child)
£5 for every 5 minutes thereafter (per child)
In extreme circumstances, these charges may be waived at the discretion of the Director.

12. The nursery reserves the right to refuse collection of any child unless the required security procedures are adhered to i.e. identification provided.

13. In the event of your child/children being collected by any other person than one of those stated in the above personal details, a request to the nursery should be made in advance and a password/security number will be issued to the person collecting the child. The child/children will not be released unless this security procedure is followed and identification is shown.

14. In the event of your child/children becoming ill during the course of the day, you will be contacted and asked to collect them from the nursery. Best efforts must be made to get to your child as quickly as possible as some illnesses can be highly contagious. In these cases a doctor’s appointment may be appropriate. Your child/children may not be able to return to the nursery until the contamination period has passed and/or 48 hours after medication has been started. 15. It is the parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to inform the centre of any changes in circumstances (i.e. contact telephone numbers). We will also ask parents/guardians to check our records are up-to-date on a regular basis. 

16. 4 weeks advance notice is required in writing to change your session placements or cancel your child’s place within the centre.

17. Our fees are subject to annual review (1st April) and advance notice of any changes will be given.

18. Best Friends Childcare Centre reserve the right to add/remove/change these Terms & Conditions without notice.
